Nice Garand! (although the pic is tiny for me)

I've got plenty of Osprey books for reading, a few war films (winter war and fortress of war), hop bucking for the stg and airsoft international and airsoft action magazines.

I had a late present....

and my fave so far a 1915 sword bayonet thats been in my family for a very long time and my uncle wanted me to have.

I got the impression this was my great grandfathers who fought against the turks in wwi as we were chatting about this before he gave it to me.

It's rather a dry read but worth sticking with for some of the insights he gives.
His son, H.G.Guderian, seemed to inherit his style when he wrote the history of the 116th.

SVT40 wood handguard, metal upper handguard, rear sight assembly, barrel band and muzzle assembly. Unfortunately the foresight post is missing as i didn't realise it wasn't included but the muzzle threads straight onto an M14 outer barrel which is handy. Best get cracking if I want it ready for Feb.

A Brit 20" cable reel - £4.00!!!
An unissued pair (one with loop, one without) of Indian made Brit' webbing braces/shoulder straps, dated 1943 - £2
Two standard Brit' wooden mallets, for bashing in the wooden pegs on my period tents (both in great condition, not like the dried-out, heavily cracked and rotten ones Anchor Supplies sell for £6 each  ) - £5 for both!
